OMSI Watershed and Chemistry labs -May 3rd

OMSI (4-8) Watershed and Chemistry labs - registration due May 3rd. There is one more OMSI for this year. This activity can replace 2 or more Odysseyware science projects. If you would like to attend, please ask your teacher for the information and registration pdf forms. It is very important that you read them very carefully. (Check-in was more complicated than it needed to be last time, so please follow directions.) Pre-registration is required. That means Cindy Cole needs the following on her desk no later than May 3rd: Please account for the fact that snail mail can take several days.

- PREPAYMENT: $10 for both labs or $5 for 1 lab (per student), parents free. Ask your teacher or Mrs. Seretan for details.

Are you interested in becoming a better writer? Sign up for WriteNow! Write Now! is a core English course that explores the writing process and various modes of writing using mentor texts, peer feedback, and exploration. This spring, we offer two sections of this course. The course will meet on WIMBA once a week and coursework will be posted online. WriteNow! is worth .5 English core credit for 9-12th grade students. There is a cap, so make sure you register early. Please obtain a registration form from your teacher. Email your completed registration from to ldelair@allprep.us.

No Home Visits for March

There will be no home visits during the month of March due to state testing. I will be up at the Estacada office every day this month proctoring tests for all the remaining students in the district. However every Friday I will be holding study hall sessions for those of you who would like extra help. In addition, Clackamas will also be having their regular study hall sessions every Friday.

I am really going to miss seeing all of you this month, so please make an effort to come to at least one study hall session. I will be emailing a sign-up sheet for you by Wednesday if you are interested. Please know that I will be available as always via email, text, and phone call every day.

WIMBA Geometry Class

Hello teachers and students!

There will be a live WIMBA Geometry class beginning next Monday, November 16. It will be taught by Mr. Orlinski. The class will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-2 pm in Mr. Orlinski’s online WIMBA classroom. The class will begin in unit 4 of the Odyssey Ware curriculum and will cover the same material in the same order. Students that sign up for the class will be given attendance and participation points that will be factored into their overall Geometry grade. Please notify your teacher if you would like to participate. Space is limited, so act fast.

State Testing

State Testing will be held the week of November 16-20. I will be contacting you all individually to let you know when you will be taking your test.

Some reminders
- Parents are not allowed in the testing room
- Please bring your Allprep computers
- Please be on time! Students that arrive after the session has begun will not be allowed to enter
